Our founder, Leo Waters
Leo Waters studied Philosophy and English at York University, and then went on to
do a Masters degree in Education at Leeds University. In 1996 he entered teaching
after completing a CELTA and taught the Cambridge exams in Greece.
After coming back to England he worked for a renowned Language school in York as
a Business English Instructor to clients from all over the world. Then, having found
his life partner he moved to Berlin. Since then he has built up his expertise by
working in-company at firms such as Vattenfall, Bombardier, VW and Motorola.
He also has extensive experience in teaching the IELTS and Cambridge exams.
As part of his ongoing professionalism he has gained further qualifications, passing
the DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other languages) and becoming
an NLP practitioner (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). When not teaching he enjoys
playing squash and tennis and the more cerebral game of backgammon.
